As if The Cooters Double Decker weekend couldn't get any better, on Sunday, May 1, 2005, The Cooters met Ben Jones aka "Cooter" from the Dukes of Hazzard.
Cooter was the Grand Marshall of a Confederate Memorial Parade and he road into town with The General Lee, the 1969 Dodge Charger from the TV show. When the parade came to a stop in front of the Confederate Statue, The Cooters took the opportunity to meet the television legend.
"You guys are The Cooters?" Cooter asked us. "I've been following your career for a long time!"
We couldn't believe it, and it was really great hang out with Mr. Jones and his wife. They are two of the nicest celebreties we've ever met, and knowing that they are keeping up with us is awesome!
Neuter grew up with The Dukes of Hazard and he swears the first two episodes are the best ones and are "what its all about in the South." Hopefully one day Cooter will have us play at Dukesfest!
