The Cooters have been spending considerable time this summer working on the new album with Tom Queyja, engineering extordinare and co-owner of The Lip Studio. The Cooters have been recording studio versions of "The Swine," "Life Like," Crusty (Freedom's Anthem)," "Society Sets the Stereotype," "The Redneck Slut From Hell" and "Woo Lord," a song whose ruff mix went to number one on MP3.com's Garage Punk Charts.

The Cooters hope to record additional tracks this fall of "Reign Lunacy," "Waffle House Rock," "Dead Fish" "Kill Them With Kindness," and "Okalona!" to finish out a full length album we want to release in early 2002.
