The Cooters just returned from Hattiesburg and Jackson, Mississippi, where they played two nights with Tyler Keith and the Preacher's Kids. What great shows they were! The bands played packed shows at Mugshots and Martin's.

"The Cooters and the Preacher's Kids is a great double-bill! The Cooters get the crowd pumped up and the Preacher's Kids get 'em shakin." said Newt Rayburn bassist of the Cooters. "It was one of the best times I've ever had. I don't want it to end!"

The Cooters have been friends with the various members of the Preacher's Kids and their former bands, The Neckbones, Blue Mountain, and Fappy Tweed, for many years. Tyler Keith was the original drummer for the Cooters way back in 1993.
