The Cooters webpage recently celebrated its 7th anniversary on July 4, 2002. The Cooters webpage was launched on July 4, 1995 by Paul Smith and Newt Rayburn. The site was the first of a kind for any band in Mississippi and one of the first webpages in the nation to be dedicated to music.

"The internet was still in its infancy in 1995, but I was already fancinated by it. The only people really using it back then were university nerds. Paul Smith got me interested in the web, and I immediately realized the potential." said Newt Rayburn.

Over the last seven years TheCooters.com has grown into one of the largest, most used band pages in the region. The site recieves about 2,500 hits a day and and has been visted by hundreds of thousands of web surfers around the world.
