THE COOTERS
Neuter, Raw, Judas & Kin Cooter

November 1998 to the present...

Soon after The Cooters recorded sessions at Ardent Studios in October 1998, we teamed up with metal guitar madman Kin Cooter, our half-brother (on our father's side) from Jackson, Mississippi.

Today the four piece combo is louder, heavier and stronger than ever!

August 1994 to the present...

The Cooters became a trio when our youngest brother and drummer extrodinare Judas Cooter teamed up with Raw and Neuter in August of 1994. Cooter Headquarters was known as "The Funny Farm" back then and was near Abbeville, Mississippi. A psychic bond was formed between the trio and the unit began to formulate songs of world domination under the guydance of The Supreme Cooter.

THE COOTERS
Neuter, Raw, and Judas
with Reverend Eloy Alfaro Cooter

September 1996 to December 1996

Right after the release of "Invasion of The Cooters" in August of 1996 a strange man started preaching at local shows in Oxford. Reverend Eloy was his name and he gave sermons to the kids about the virtues of chaos, and psychotic anarchy. Of course, The Cooters hit is off great with the man of god and Eloy hit it off with big with The Supreme Cooter. We played several shows together until some men in white showed up in Oxford with Eloy's natural parents. They had credentials to take the Reverend back to the Detriot schizophrenia clinic that he had escaped from! And we're not kidding about that either!

No one has seen or heard from Rev. Eloy since!

THE COOTERS
Neuter, Raw and Judas
with Bomber Cooter

March 1995 to June 1996

The Cooters teamed up for a short time with our crusty punk cousin from Pontotoc, Mississippi, Bomber Cooter in 1995. Together we recorded a set of crustified Cooter songs dealing with topics like William Faulkner worship, intergalatic zombies, and creating chaos. Some of the songs are on our "Invasion of The Cooters" CD. Others have never been released.

Bomber moved to Music City, USA in June of 1996. He is now in the hardcore punk band, FROM ASHES RISE.

THE COOTERS
FAMILY CHAOS ENSEMBLE
Neuter & Raw Cooter
with Linguini Buttafuoco, Tikk Rikkets, and Father Raven Madd

October, 1993 to July, 1994

The Cooter Family Chaos Ensemble played shows all over Lafayette County in homes, barns, and makeshift concert halls. At a typical Chaos Ensemble show we would play a hardcore song, a 70's style rock jam, a reggae tune, some supercharged hyper country and even some improv muzak. And all the while the holy Father Raven Mad would keep the audience at bay with a sermon on "Junior Cooter and the UFO."

Most of the time, the cops came and busted up our gigs, but we manage to record a few (still unreleased) cool shows at Oxford's underground show place (at the time) called "The Padded Cell". We also made it as far away as Pensecola, Florida when we played during a hurricane with Atomic Jefferson. And another time we played at a noise festival in Little Rock, Arkansas.

The Cooter Family Chaos Ensemble lasted from January of 1994 until the first July when Cooter Headquarters was moved to a farm in Abbeville, Mississippi.

RAW COOTER and HIS TENNESSEE PRIDE
Neuter & Raw
with Skull Rotten and Enrique Jesus Suave del Cooter, Esq.

January, 1993 to September, 1993

The Cooters began in 1993 under the moniker Raw Cooter & His Tennessee Pride. We ran the infamous Cooter Family Estate in a house on Highway 334 in Lafayette County, where we threw loads of wild parties with all kinds of bands from all over the country. We were dedicated to making noise as many as three nights a week.

The Tennesse Pride lasted until about September of '93 when Enrique Jesus decided to join the garage-punk band The Neckbones to play guitar. Skull Rotten moved to California "where gold grows wild!".
